Hires in 2020

Lene Kili Apeland is the company’s HSE manager. Lene previously worked at Westcon Yards and Steinsvik/ScaleAQ and brings solid knowledge about standardisation and certification and their requirements.

Haakon Simonsen Farstadvoll holds master’s degrees in both law and economics. Haakon was a part of the finance department at BAHR law firm before joining Alginor, and has previously worked in Handelsbanken Norge’s legal department. Haakon brings knowledge and experience on various types of corporate financing, and will be responsible for financial management and investor relations.

Silje Kristine Johannessen is hired as process developer. Silje has extensive experience as a process operator in the electrolysis at Hydro Aluminium and the alginate production at FMC Biopolymer/DuPoint Nutrition & Biosciences. At DuPont she worked as a production manager and led the relocation and commissioning of the pharma line which was moved from Drammen to Vormedal.

Christine Østvik Sæ is a chemist and pharmacist. Christine was the general manager at Apotek 1 (a pharmacy) before joining Alginor. Christine will manage the company’s laboratory and build the framework and procedures for documentation and quality control according to standards for manufacturing of pharmaceutical ingredients (API).

Idunn Storesund is a biomedical laboratory scientist. Idunn worked at Haugesund Sykehus (a hospital) before joining Alginor. Idunn has knowledge and experience with biochemical analyses and analysis tools and will partake in laboratory work. Idunn’s employment will officially commence in January.

Dr. Ilka Czech is hired as innovation and business development manager. Ilka worked as R&D manager and business manager in Seagarden AS, and was the CEO of Seagarden AS’s subsidiary Chitinor AS, before joining Alginor. She has several years of international experience in the life science industry, in particular the pharmaceutical and cosmetic segments, and she was the contact person for international customers and business partners worldwide in Seagarden. Ilka is fluent in German (mother tongue), English and Norwegian. Ilka’s employment in Alginor will officially commence in March.
