Hypomar Ocean 1 has been delivered to Hypomar AS

Alginor is excited to announce the awaited arrival our very first commercial harvester, Hypomar Ocean, which was delivered  from Fitjar Mekaniske Verksted AS on 2 May 2024, marking a significant milestone in Alginor’s history and development.

In the coming weeks, we will continue conducting of sea trials, testing of equipment and on-board processes, live training of personnel on vessel operations, and make necessary calibrations and adjustments to the vessel’s operating systems.

With Hypomar Ocean, we are well-positioned to accelerate development across our portfolio through regular supplies of large raw material volumes to our pilot facility. This will be extremely important both from the perspective of our ongoing development projects, but also to the further development of our relationships with customers through our ability to offer samples regularly at scale. One example of this is through the recently awarded PROTEUS project, which we will come back to with more information in the near future.

This major milestone in the development of our company would not be possible without our trusted partners, all of whom have delivered well and beyond from start to finish. We thank everyone for their positive and valuable impact on the project, ultimately leading to its success.
