Alginor’s main R&D project – AORTA – is entering a new and active phase with a gross budget of NOK 15 million lasting from 2017 to 2020.
The AORTA project is co-financed by the Norwegian Research Council, The Regional Research Fund and Skattefunn, a national tax refund system and will be carried out together with leading R&D institutes in Norway, Denmark and UK.
The aim of the project is to obtain through biorefining a total utilisation of the seaweed Laminaria hyperborea to develop a novel product portfolio targeting 12 unique ingredients.
